For those of you who don’t know, or haven’t been keeping up with our recent activities, we have a new venue!
The people running the Sobey’s in Riverview have been kind enough to let us use the board room above the Riverview store FREE of charge on the first Friday of each month, from 7:00 on. A big thanks goes out to those guys, as we’ve been searching high and low for a good, comfy, permanent location to conduct our meetings.
We’ve also been up to our ears in work for the last few months. One of our members and IRC moderators, Remog, has taken the time to set us up with a shiny new IRC server, running UnrealIRCd and Anope for services. The server’s sitting at irc.Moncton2600.net, with sockets available at the standard connection port - :6667 - and SSL capabilities at :6697.
Also, we’ve got a shiny new Java-based IRC client… for those of you who are unable to access IRC at work or such - it’s sitting at http://moncton2600.net/irc/.
So yeah - we’re on the prowl again for more idlers and newcomers to the Moncton 2600 scene. As usual, send us a message, or hop in IRC - we’re ALWAYS looking for something fresh to talk about and expl(oit)ore during our meetings

Our Meeting on May 4th was a Great success!
We had a turn out of about 10 people total. Not bad but we would like to see more!
Our next meeting is going to be June 1st 2007. It may be an out door location depending on weather and technological concerns.
Check back here or on our Facebook group (Moncton 2600) to get the scoop!
Steve Wozniak is coming to town!
There will be a few of us from Moncton2600 attending his lecture on Tuesday. It may be a bit short notice, but if anyone is interested in joining us, just drop us a line here, or email me (akumukun[at]gmail[dot]com). We may be meeting up afterwards to discuss the lecture, and what we can take from it.
See you all there!
